The people we research come in all shapes and sizes. Their beliefs, opinions and knowledge range from the esoteric to the odd. Our team aims to reflect this diversity although we steer clear of the ‘odd’ where possible.

We come from all kinds of backgrounds: science, the humanities, the arts, psychology, business and research; all bringing different skills and perspectives. So our ideas stay fresh and our output is relevant.

Insight employees are a mix of old heads and youthful exuberance. Our project teams bring a balance of new ideas, fresh thinking, energy and experience to each brief we get.

Jane Shirley

Group Managing Director

Jane topped up her degree in economics with a post-grad diploma in marketing. Her career in research began as an executive specialising in quantitative studies with a leading healthcare consultancy. A spell with SmithKline Beecham in their strategic product development group gave her a keen insight into the thin line between success and failure in NPD. Back on the supply side, Jane broadened her experience, both in research techniques and geographically, as Director of International Research with a top global agency. As one of our two Group Managing Directors, Jane continues to specialise on international research. Given the time she'd love to indulge her passion for 'nice hotels and posh restaurants' (anywhere in the world, we guess).
